Jane
Armitage Keas
Keas, Jane Armitage Farmers Branch, TX.,
was born August 16, 1933, in Dallas, Tx, passed away April 8, 2010 to be
with the Lord. Preceded in death by father, E.M. Armitage, mother, M.
Evelyn Armitage (Anderson), husband, Walt Keas,
son, Kirby Keas and brother, Herb
Armitage (Lucille). Survived by son Kimbel Keas and wife Cindy of
Austin, and daughter Karen Keas Ricker and husband Quinn of Argyle, and
grandsons Cal and Chad Ricker, and Kirby Keas. She is also survived by
sisters Sue Scott of Dallas and Sally Hendricks and husband, Dr. Bill of
Irving, sister-in-law Lucille Armitage of San Antonio, along with
brother-in-law, John Wesley Keas and wife, Axie and L.C. Keas and wife,
Neal and may other relatives. "Baby Jane", as she was referred to by her
siblings, loved her family very much and was of the Methodist faith. She
graduated from Highland Park High School and Southern Methodist
University where she was a member of ADPI Sorority. Jane was a loyal
physical education teach in the Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD for 34
years. She ended her teaching career at
Janie Stark Elementary School
after 28 years of service there. Jane was a quie and gentle woman with a
passion for her sports and shopping. She was very active in the Farmers
Branch Athletic community as a soccer coach for 5 years and was the
first coach for R.L. Turner Girls soccer team
that won district all 3 years under her coaching. Graveside services
were held Monday, April 12, 2010 at
Hilltop Memorial Park,
1810 N. Perry Rd., in Carrollton. Memorial contributions may be made to
Argyle United Methodist Youth Group or to the Kirby Keas Scholarship
Fund at UNT.
