OBITUARY

Death Takes Brother of Bar President

Electer E. Ledbetter, 58, brother of Roy Ledbetter, president of the Dallas Bar Association, and a resident of Carrollton since 1914, died Friday in a Dallas hospital.
A native of Jacksonville, Ala., he came to Texas with his parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Julius Ledbetter, when a a boy, settling at Ferris, Ellis County. He lived at Ferris until he moved to Carrollton, and had operated a large farm there since.
Surviving are his wife; Mrs. Eugenia Ledbetter; four sons, Buren Ledbetter, A. D. Ledbetter, Morris Lee Ledbetter and Henry Ledbetter; five daughters, Mrs. Bernice Graham, Mrs. Gladys Wrigley, Mrs. Marjorie Lowery, Mrs. Katherine Albright and Mrs. Julia Ledbetter; three brothers, Roy Ledbetter and E. M. Ledbetter of Dallas and Joe Ledbetter of Stephenville; two sisters, Mrs. Docia Conn and Mrs. Mary Norwood of Ferris, and Nine grandchildren.
Dr. W. W. Fowler will conduct funeral services at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the First Baptist Church at Carrollton, and burial will be in the Perry Cemetery east of Carrollton.

E. E. Ledbetter, Local Farmer, Dies Recently



Sinus Infection Causes Blood Poisoning of Prominent Resident


Electer E. Ledbetter, well known farmer living near Carrollton, died Friday in a Dallas clinic after having been taken there for treatment of a sinus infection.

Mr. Ledbetter had been afflicted with sinus trouble for many years, but recently remarked that it was worse than he ever remembered it. It developed into a complication which poisoned his blood stream.

Funeral services where held in the First Baptist church here at 2:30 Saturday afternoon with Dr. W. W. Fowler officiating. Interment was in the Perry cemetery.

Mr. Ledbetter, who had lived in the Carrollton community for several years, Was well-known to most local residents. He was liked by those who knew him, and was active in community life, especially in projects that were for the good of the farmer. He did some serious thinking and sometimes was successful in putting them into practice.

He was a member of the Primitive Baptist church.

Surviving are his wife, Eugenia Ledbetter, five daughters, Mrs. Bernice Graham, Mrs. Gladys Wright, Mrs. Marjorie Lowrey, Mrs. Katherine Albright and Miss Julia Ledbetter; four sons, Buren, A. D., Morris Lee and Henry Ledbetter; nine grandchildren; three brothers, Ray Ledbetter, president of the Dallas Bar association, and E. M. Ledbetter of Dallas, and Joe Ledbetter of Stephenville, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Docia Conn and Mrs. Mary Norwood of Ferris, Texas.

Among those attending the funeral from out of town were Mrs. W. M. Nance and Mrs. W. Phillips of Vernon, John Phillis of Chilicothi, M. H. Phillips of Ft. Worth, J. H. Prince of Wilmer, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Bryant, Mrs. Robert Hurst, Mrs. Marg King and Miss Ruby Goble of Ferris.
