OBITUARY

MAYBERRY
MITCHELL, 53 of Carrollton, passed away March 13, 1993 in Dallas. Mr. Mayberry was born April 2, 1939 in Canton, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Linda of Carrollton; sons, Steve Mayberry, Greg Mayberry, Mitch Mayberry, Jr., and Mike Mayberry, all of Carrollton; daughter, Patti Mayberry, Carrollton; three grandchildren; sister, Jan Mayberry, Carrollton. Mr. Mayberry was a former Carrollton Post master. He began his career in the postal service in 1961, and was appointed Postmaster on April 7, 1973. He retired in 1991. Mr. Mayberry coached Carrollton Little League Baseball for 12 years and served on the Parks & Recreation Board, '75-'77. In appreciation of these services, the city named a field at McInnish Park in his honor. Mr. Mayberry also served on the planning committee for Indian Creek Gold Course. He was one of the first heart transplant recipients in Texas in 1984. In lieu of usual remembrances, donations are requested to the American Heart Association. Services Tuesday March 16, 1993, FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH of Carrollton, 10:00 A.M. Rev. Wayne Allen officiating. Family visitation at the funeral home 7-8:30 P.M. Monday, March 15, 1993.
