OBITUARY George W. Mayes
Funeral services for George Walter Mayes, 92, of 11512 Reeder, a retired farmer,
will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Rhoton Weiland-Merritt Funeral Chapel in
Carrollton. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Dallas.
Mr. Mayes, a native of Tennessee, died here Sunday. He had lived in Dallas 33
years. Previously he was a farmer in the Carrollton-Farmers Branch area.
He was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors: two sisters, Mrs. Oscar Smith, Argyle and Mrs. Mard Cunningham of
Lewisville, three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a
