OBITUARY

Mr. P. M. Mayes had a severe fall Sunday at his home at Trinity Mills. He fell from the porch a distance of several feet and landed on his head. No bones were broken, the doctor reported, but he had a severe shock and was numbed by the fall, having use of only his hands and his arms to the elbows. Mr. Mayes is about 87 years of age and this fall was severe on him.
Just as we go to press we learn that Mr. Mayes died about 1 o'clock this afternoon. Funeral services will be held at Methodist church in Carrollton Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock with burial in Forest Lawn cemetery.
