OBITUARY

MOORE, Jr.
MR.  DELBERT D., entered the arms of our Lord on Saturday, February 19, 2000.  He died after a courageous battle with cancer.  His smile will be remembered by everyone who was blessed by having him touch their lives. He was a loving and devoted husband and father.  His three granddaughters were the loves of his life and he was eagerly awaiting the birth of his first great-granddaughter, Emerson Lynn Eft. Mr. Moore was born in Renner, TX and resided in Farmers Branch until retiring in Pharr, TX in 1995. Along with his many accomplishments, Mr. Moore served in the U.S. Navy and served in WWII.  He also served as Democratic Precinct Chairman member of the American Legion, VFW and of the Masonic Lodge #395. Mr Moore enjoyed volunteering his time to the Girls Home in Reynosa as well as the local food bank.  He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Alice Moore; son and wife Rodney & Brinda Moore; daughter and husband Stephanie & George Collier; three granddaughters: Amy Moore, Angi Breidenbach & Kristi Eft; one brother, William Moore, one sister, Betty Bridgrs, Pall bearers: Shaw Eft, Ryan Breidenbach, Sam Moore, Todd Rosson, Butch Bridges & Gordon Dozier. Honorary Pallbearers: William Moore, Donald Bell, Ray Crow, Joe Curtis, Howard Dennis, Willard Freeman, Bill Groce, Melvin Hartline, Lawson Lewis, Milton Lewis, Bill Marcom, Roy Lee Marcom, Wayne Minter and Ed Soctecke. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 23 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Metrocrest Funeral Home, Carrollton, TX. A Masonic/military service honoring Mr. Moore will be held at Webb Chapel United Methodist Church, Farmers Branch, TX on Thursday, Feb. 24 at 1 p.m. Interment-Restland Memorial Park. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Make A Wish Foundation, Dallas, TX
