Melvin is going to start his career by going to work as soon as possible.  As a hobby he plays ping pong and favors Basketball as a sport.  He found his Typing Class the most enjoyable.

 

OBITUARY

HARTLINE
MELVIN GRADY age 79 of Slidell, passes away Wednesday December 24, 2003 at his home.  He was born in Dallas Co. on January 28, 1924 to Leonard S. and Edna (Tracy) Hartline.  He married Dorothy Bryan in San Francisco Jun 11, 1945.  He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII as a Storekeeper First Class.  He retired from Sears in Dallas as a Group Manager in the Catalogue Department, a 50 yr. Mason and a member of the First Baptist church Slidell.  Survivors are his wife, Dorothy of Slidell, son Bryan J. Hartline of Krum, Daughter Brenda Solis of Lewisville, Brothers Clyde Vernon Hartline Sr. of Murphy, Harold Leonard Hartline of Houston, Ray Marshall Hartline of Joplin, Mo. Tracy Powell Hartline of Chandler and Conley Bruce Hartline of Plano.  Many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.  His Sister Melley Frances Smith proceeded him in Death. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 27, 2003 at 10:00 am at the First Baptist Church Slidell. Burial will be at 2:00 pm in the Plano Mutual Cemetery in Plano, Texas. The Rev. Bynum Akins and Rev. Roger Scalf will be officiating the service.  Visitation will be 8 to 9 pm Friday December 26, 2003 at the Mutual Cemetery in Plano, Texas.  The Rev. Bynum Akins and Rev.
