FUNERAL SERVICES FOR J. FIELD NOEL HELD HERE SATURDAY

Funeral services for J. Field Noel, 54, son of Dallas County pioneers; grand jury bailiff and veteran employee of the county government in various capacities, were held Saturday morning at the First Baptist church here. Rev. Wm. Carl Bird officiating.
Mr. Noell died of a heart attack Thursday in the Rainbow Pharmacy. where he had gone to consult Dr. J. A. Krise. He had felt badly while returning from Dallas and had stopped by here to go to the doctor's office.
He was born June 4, 1889, in the Addison community, formerly known as Noell Junction in honor of his father, the late S. S. Noel, a prominent farmer north of Dallas. He was a grandson of Henry Lively, one of the first settlers in Dallas County.
He served several years ago as deputy sheriff and deputy tax assessor and had been brand jury bailiff since January.
Surviving besides his wife and brother are three children, Milton J. Noell, Dallas, Leslie Noell, Lake Charles, LA. and Mrs. Ruby Jean Noell, Allen Columbus, Ohio, and three sisters, Mrs. Gay Dennis, Addison; Mrs. Walter Stark, Denton and Mrs. Carroll Rather, Dallas.
