OBITUARY FUNERAL SERVICES HELD WEDNESDAY
FOR MRS. LOVIE RASBERRY
LONG-TIME RESIDENT OF FARMERS BRANCH, DIES SUDDENLY ON MONDAY
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 5 at the Farmers
Branch Baptist church for Mrs. Lovie Rasberry, 67, who died suddenly
Monday morning at6 1:20 from a heart attack.
Mrs. Rasberry, a long-time resident of the Hackberry and Farmers
Branch Communities, had not been ill, and had attended chruch services
opn Sunday. She celebrated her 67th birthday on Friday, August 3.
She is survived by two sons, Chief Warrant Officer Roy L. Rasberry
of the Navy, and Howard Ray in the Marine Corps; one daughter, Mrs.
Jewell Jones, Farmers Branch; and a brother, A. J. Burnett, of Dallas.
Warrant Officer Rasberry was unable to be home for the funeral,
but Howard arrived Wednesday from California.
Funeral services were held in the Farmers-Branch Baptist church,
with Rev. Gola Bailey, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Farmers
Branch Cemetery. Tom Field, Albert Stanley, Jess Willingham, Ray
Thompson, Omar Smith, Truett Good, and Fred Marsh served as pallbearers.
Rhotons Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
