OBITUARY
 
KILGORE - Services for Travis L. Rosson, 73, of Kilgore, will be held 10 a.m. today, December 20, 2008, at St. Luke's United Methodist Church with the Rev. Darward Galaway and the Rev. Ralph Rudy officiating. Burial will follow at Danville Cemetery.

Travis L. Rosson was born December 4, 1935, in Big Spring, son of the late Samuel and O'dell Rosson. He passed away Thursday, December 18, 2008, in Henderson. Travis was a member of St Luke's United Methodist Church where he was active in the Chancel Choir, Mission Team and The God's Hands At Work Program. Mr. Rosson enjoyed woodworking and construction. He taught Building Trades/ Work Coop at Longview High School, Spring Hill High School and White Oak High School. Along with his wife Ann they were instrumental in beginning Kilgore's Habitat For Humanity that has built twelve houses in Kilgore.Travis will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father and friend.

He is survived by his wife of over 31 years, Ann Rosson of Kilgore; daughters, Kathy Hill and husband David of Quinlan, Donna Brackeen and husband Bart of Rockwall, and Rhea Ann Redden and husband Travers of Van; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; sisters, Norma Flynn and husband James of Hobart, Oklahoma.
