friends.
After graduation, G.A. joined the United States Armed Forces (Air
Force). After a year of training through out the United States, G.A. was
assigned to McChord Air Force Base in Tacoma Washington. Sara and their
newborn son, Ron, joined G.A. to begin their life adventure together.
G.A. received an honorable discharge in 1949 with the rank of Sergeant.
Soon after returning to Dallas, G.A. was employed by Eastman Kodak where

children and grandchildren loved to visit G.A. and Sara at their lake
house.
As G.A. began having some health issues, he and Sara moved back to
Carrollton, Texas. He then decided to return to a job he held at age 17.
He became a bus monitor for the Carrollton Farmers Branch School
District. G.A. love his tenure with the school district. Once again, his
respected work ethic and kind spirit were embraced by the children he
assisted.
After five years in his third career, he truly retired. His new life
encompassed spending more time with his grandchildren and great
