Ray Sexton

Donald Ray Sexton of Princeton, Texas passed away July 9, 2023 at the
age of 87. He was born on September 23, 1935 to Allen Lauwery Sexton and
Regina (Smirl) Sexton in Dallas, Texas. Donald grew up in Carrollton,
Texas and was a graduate of Carrollton High School. He married
Elsie
Maurine (Denison) Sexton on June 24, 1955 in Addison, Texas. Donald
worked as a Shop Foreman with Barco Glass & Mirror for over 30 years
until his retirement in 1998. He enjoyed hunting and most of all,
spending time with his family. Donald was a devoted member of First
Baptist Church in McKinney, Texas. He was a loving husband, father,
grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. Donald will be
missed dearly by those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Elsie Sexton of
Princeton, Texas; son, Steven Sexton and wife, Denise of Rosharon,
Texas; daughter, Susan Collins and husband, Tom of Princeton, Texas,
grandchildren, Bethany Reily and husband, James, Joshua Collins and
wife, Courtney, and Deanna Wright and husband, Eric;
great-grandchildren, Emma, Grayson, Archer, Whatley, Makenzie; and a
host of other loving family members and friends.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Regina Sexton and
sister, Tisha Sexton.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 13, 2023
at Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas
75013. |
