OBITUARY
Mary Irene Skeen, 65, of Paris died Saturday, April 14, 2001, at Paris
Nursing Home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, at Gene Roden's Sons Funeral
Home Chapel with the Rev. Randall Scott officiating. Burial will be in
Littlejohn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at
the funeral home.
Mrs. Skeen was born Sept. 4, 1934, in Dallas to Henry and Lucille Yarbrough
Brim.
She was a homemaker and member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She was a member of
the Paris Womens Bowling Association for over 25 years and was league secretary
for 25 years.
She married Dawes O. Skeen, May 31, 1952.
Surviving are her husband; sons, Alva Dale Skeen of Synder and Lloyd Skeen and
wife Michelle of Rowlett; two daughters, Sissy Plott and Missy Dillon and
husband Jay, all of Paris; grandsons, Winston Dillon, Zachary Partridge and
Clayton Plott; a granddaughter, Heather Skeen; brothers,
J.W. and Billie Ruth Brim of Ennis,
Freddie and Pat Brim of Bowie, Tommy and Barbara Brim of West Monroe, La., John
and Vivian Brin of Forestburg, Larry Brim of Hurst; sisters, Joyce and Barney
Tucker of Carrollton; Beverly and Mike Ferguson of Lewisville, and Janis and
Peter Nelson of Farmers Branch, and a sister-in-law, Barbara Brim of Carrollton.
She is also survived by a special friend, Carolyn Black, and The Ladies Bowling
Association of Paris.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Henry Brim Jr.
Pallbearers will be Greg Partridge, George Newberry, Leroy Bowers, Jim Hand,
Melvon Dusenberry, Warren Skeen, and Johnny Hale.
