Myra Belle Sorrell died on March 30, 2023, at the age of 65.

Lake Erie Cremation and Funeral Services assisted the family with arrangements for the memorial service.

Myra Belle Sorrell was born on March 14, 1958, in Dallas. She attended R. L. Turner High School and graduated from McPherson College. She also attended Friends University for graduate school. She worked as a Refugee Resettlement Coordinator of North Texas of Amerasian Resettlement and was a minister in the United Church of Christ in the Kansas and Oklahoma Conference.

Myra Belle Sorrell is survived by her son, John Jerome Werner, her daughter, Anne Elizabeth Werner Johnson, and her grandchildren, Nathaniel Rossow, Grace Rossow, Eli Rossow, Joseph Guerrero, as well as her sister, Melissa Chandler. She is preceded in death by her father, Jerry Sorrell, her mother, Shirley Belle Reitsma Sorrell, and her husband, Jesse "Carl" Joslin.
