OBITUARY
 Marie
Stanley, left this world on Feb 21, 2023. Marie was born on March 6,
1934, and raised in Carrollton, Texas. She was daughter to
William and
Lila Dafft. She graduated from
Carrollton High School in 1952 and was married to her soul mate, Jimmy
Ray Stanley on March 14, 1953.
Marie is survived by her daughter, Angie Vick and husband Danny,
daughter Alyssa Murph and husband Kevin. Her grandchildren, Marandah
Bartlett and husband Weston, Mariah Vick, Jason Whitlock and wife
Abigail, Jon Whitlock and wife Kendall, Jessica Hill, and husband Jared.
Great grandchildren, Emory, Whitten, Graham, Galilee, Grayden, Teddy,
Auggie and Winnie.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Ray Stanley, son Richard
Paul Stanley. Parents, William, and Lila Dafft. Her brothers, James,
Kenneth,
Paul, and
Don Dafft. Her sisters
Frances Sanada and
Dorothy Threadgill.
Marie loved to travel with her family, read books, cook, and take care
of her grandchildren, who she loved dearly. Her home was always filled
with love and heart felt caring. Whether she was hosting her family for
the holidays or simply caring for the grandkids on the weekend. No
matter the time, you felt cared for through her food, through her hugs
and back scratches, reading of books, creating the most fun filled
backyard oasis or the esthetically pleasing interior of her home. Every
action was an overflow of her heart. Her family is forever bound to her
love through traditions and her innate executions of hospitality. No one
would ever walk away from her home on an empty stomach. Her family loved
her beyond words. They stayed by her side, loved on her, and held her
hand every day until her last breath. She will be missed forever.
