Walter F. Stark, Former Carrollton Councilman, Dies

Walter Frederick Stark, 65, former Carrollton city Councilman and stockman, died at his Carrollton home Thursday from a heart ailment.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Addison Methodist Church.
Born near Richardson on Aug. 14, 1880, Stark and his father, J. Frank Stark, operated the Longhorn Commission Company, Fort Worth, beginning in 1903. He moved to Dallas County in 1911 and bought a stock farm. In 1919, he moved with his family to Carrollton, where he served for a number of years on the school board and as a member of the City Council.
Stark  is survived by his wife; two daughters, Miss Janie Stark, Carrollton, and Mrs. Chester Watson, Dallas; two sons, Marion Stark, Denton, and Robert S. Stark, Garland; three grandchildren, and a brother, Jack Stark, Dallas.
