In Loving Memory of Luella Stolebarger
A life celebration for Luella Stolebarger is being held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2020, at Restland Funeral Home in the Memorial Chapel, located at 13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75243. Viewing and visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. After the funeral, there will be a graveside eulogy in Restland Cemetery for those who would like to attend.
Luella Stolebarger, age 81, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2020, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born April 5, 1939, in Wichita, Kansas, to George and Mildred Stolebarger.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Keith and Hershel Stolebarger; and a sister, Georgetta Chambers. She is survived by her sister, Loralee Aulds and her husband, John; a brother John W. Stolebarger
and his wife Buu; niece, Kim Andrews and her husband, Kirk, and their boys Alex and Brandon; nephew, Tom and his wife, Cynthia, and their daughters, Jessica and Lauren; nephew, Jimmy Stolebarger and his wife Tammy; along with host of other grandnieces and nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Luella grew up in Wichita, KS until her family relocated to Carrollton, TX in 1947, which became their longtime family home. She lived in the Stolebarger family home on Beltline Road for many years. As a young lady, she had a heart for serving God which lead her to Bible school and then her lifelong ministry at Bible Prayer Fellowship. She spent most of her adult life working and caring for her mother. After her mother’s passing, she began pet sitting with Guardian Pet-sitters and found a love for animals which kept her busy and happy for many years. She faithfully attended church at Farmers Branch Bible Church and loved her Savior, the Lord Jesus, with all her heart.
Although Luella never married, she always had very close family and friends, but she had an especially close bond with her niece, Kim Andrews and her family, who loved, supported and cared for Luella until the end of her life. She was an incredibly strong and independent woman. She was a wonderful example to all who knew her, and she left an amazing legacy of service and sharing God’s amazing love and grace. We look forward to the day we will be reunited in Heaven.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Bible Prayer Fellowship, P.O. Box 810718, Dallas, TX 75381.
Live stream will be available at Restland Cemetery website. Check for a link on the obituary page for Luella 30 minutes prior to the service.
