OBITUARY STRIBLING , JACK JOHN, born February 8, 1917 in Nacogdoches, Texas to C.C. & Ada Stribling , passed from this life on Friday evening, June 27, 2003, being 86 years of age. Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Gladys Marie on May 18, 2001; also a brother - Chester and 3 sisters-Irene Clark, Sally Franks, and Mable Levert and a beloved great granddaughter, Nicole Bonneau on March 20, 2003. Survived by his sister, Lucille Greer of Houston, TX. Also survived by 3 children and their spouses, Elden Stribling & wife Kitty of Sulphur Springs, TX., Jack L. Stribling and wife, Martha of Winsboro, TX and Gwin Smith and husband Darrell of McKinney, TX., 13 grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jack was an active servant of our Lord, a deacon, and loved his family for whom he and his wife Gladys provided a Christian home, and he loved their many friends. He was a long time resident of Farmers Branch, Texas where he was a member of the Valwood Park Baptist Church. Services 12:00 PM Thursday, July 3, 2003 at Restland Memorial Chapel.
