Mr. and Mrs. Claud A. Thompson recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

The Couple were married April 8, 1951.

Mr. Thompson is retired from the U.S. Postal Service. Edwina Whitlock Thompson is retired from the busienss office of Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District.
They have three children and eight grandchildren.

CLAUDE THOMPSON (1926 - 2014)

THOMPSON, Claud C. A. (TINY) Thompson went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 31, 2014, in Carrollton, Texas, surrounded by his family. He was born January 22, 1926, in Midlothian, Texas to Thomas and Mary Thompson, and joined them in heaven at the age of 88. He is survived by his wife of almost 64 years, Edwina, and 3 children: Tim Thompson (Rhonda), Kathy Argo and Melissa Gill. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren: Tiffany Vineyard (John), Chelsea Salazar (Robert), Katy Gruner (Bobby), Kristin McElmurry (Jonathan), Kendel Davis (Will), Karoline Argo, John Gill, and Rhett Gill; and 6 great-grandchildren: Baylea and Rylea Vineyard, Emma and Ava Salazar, Gage Gruner, and Edison McElmurry. He attended Sunset High School in Oak Cliff, and shortly thereafter served as a United States Marine during WWII. He enjoyed bull riding for the Rodeo Cowboy Association, and was employed by the United States Postal Service for over 30 years before his retirement. He joyfully served as a member and deacon at First Baptist Church, Carrollton, for over 50 years.Tiny loved the Lord with all his heart, mind and soul. There was nothing he enjoyed more than sharing the gospel of his Savior, Christ Jesus. Visitation will be at 1 pm, followed by a funeral service at 2 pm officiated by Dr. Brent Taylor at First Baptist Church, Carrollton, on Wednesday, November 5, 2014. Interment will follow at Hilltop Cemetery in Carrollton, Texas. Any contributions in Tiny's memory can be made to First Baptist Church, Carrollton. Beloved husband, father, and grandfather, you will be deeply missed, and we are honored to be your family and celebrate a life so fully lived in Christ. Well done, good and faithful servant.
