OBITUARY

W. C. Treece
W. C. Treece, a retired groceryman and former resident of Dallas, died at his home in Lubbock Thursday after a brief illness.
Treece was a native of Texas. He was in the grocery business in Dallas from about 1935 to 1945 and was in the gravel business in Carrollton for a number of years before he retired.
A member of the College Avenue Baptist Church of Carrollton, he was formerly superintendent of the Sunday school there.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Sam F. Parkingson of Lubbock; a half-brother, John L. Lowe of Grand Prairie; three sisters, Mrs. Lottie Lee Lowrance of Dallas and Mrs. Richard Burt and Mrs. Walter Hayes, both of Ojai, Calif., and a grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the College Avenue Baptist Church in Carrollton with the Rev. Herbert Moore officiating. Burial will be in Perry Cemetery in Carrollton.

Funeral Set Today For W. C. Treece
Funeral services for William Claude Treece, 73, 2215 27th St., will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. today at College Avenue Baptist Church at Carrollton.
The Rev Herbert Moore will officiate. Burial will be in Carrollton Cemetery under the direction of Rhoton Funeral Home of Carrollton. The body was taken to Carrollton Thursday afternoon by Sanders Funeral Home.
Treece died at 4:54 a.m. Thursday in Taylor Hospital.
He had lived in Lubbock since August, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Sam F. Parkinson, 2215 27th St.
He was in the gravel business before his retirement.
Survivors, in addition to the daughter, include one grandson; two sisters, Mrs. Lottie Lee Lowrance, Dallas, and Mrs. May Hayes, Ojai, Calif.; one brother, Lewis Lowe, Grand Prairie.

He had lived in Lubbock since August, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Sam F. Parkinson, 2215 27th St.
He was in the gravel business before retirement.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at College Avenue Baptist Church at Carrollton with the Rev. Herbert Moore officiating, Sanders Funeral Home announced. Burial will be in Carrollton Cemetery, under direction of Rhoton Funeral Home of Carrollton. The body was to be taken to Carrollton this afternoon.
