OBITUARY CHARLES WEBER
Born on December 23, 1922, in Dallas, Texas, passed away December 18,
1996, five days short of his 74th birthday. Charlie retired from the Fresno
United School District after many years of teaching. However, Real estate was
his "forte". He always worked part-time in real estate since the late
fifties and upon retirement he moved to Yosemite Lakes Park Realty as Sales
Manager for new construction until shortly before his passing.
Out of high school Charlie went to SMU on a football scholarship but World
War II caused him to enlist in the U.S. Navy for four years. Being a great
football player he spent most of his Navy time involved in the game he loved.
After a short stint at USF he transferred to Cal-Poly in San Luis Obispo from
which he graduated in 1948. San Luis Obispo was also the hometown of his
wife of 50 years, Marie. They moved to Fresno in 1952 and he began
coaching/teaching and later in the real estate business
Charlie was really a lovable man with many, many friends whom he truly
loved and appreciated. He will be greatly missed. |
