Williams, Charles David
Charles David Williams, a longtime resident of Farmers Branch, Texas
passed away on February 21, 2020 in Carrollton, Texas. He was born
September 7, 1935 at Ward’s Bridge in Navarro County, Texas to Charles
Edward Williams and Floy (Springer) Williams. Both of his parents died
shortly after his birth so his grandparents, Daniel Z. and Mary Susan
Springer raised him. The lived a short time in Navarro County and
Henderson County before moving to Farmers Branch in 1941. Charles
attended Farmers Branch and Carrollton schools. He married Cora Sue
Grimm Mar 5, 1954 in Denton, Texas. He served in the US Army reserves.
Charles retired from the Simmons Mattress Company then sold beds at
Traders Village for several more years. He is preceded in death by his
half-sister Letha Juanita (Williams) Slaydon and his half-brother, Jack
Thomas Williams. Charles is survived by his wife, his son
Edward Lynn Williams
and granddaughter Kristen Lynn Williams of Plano, Texas. Graveside
services will be held at a later date at the Dresden Cemetery in Navarro
County, Texas where he will be laid to rest next to his mother and
grandparents. |
