W. M. Wilson Receives Lions Club Award
W. M. Wilson, 17 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Wilson, Senior of
Carrollton, received the Lions Club Award as best all around student in the 1943
class at Friday nights commencement exercises.
Wilson attended Coppell Grade School. Active in the organization and wory of the
high school bank, he was the only local student to successfully pass the mental
tests given by the Navy under the V-12 Training Program Carrollton

OBITUARY
William
Marvin "Dub" Wilson Jr., Age 88 Carrollton TX
Passed peacefully on Easter morning 4/20/2014, from Alzheimer's Disease.
"W.M." was a direct descendent of French immigrants who settled at La
Reunion in what is now the "Oak Cliff" area of Dallas, was born
4-16-1926, in a farmhouse on Grauwyler Rd. in Irving TX to William
Marvin and Ruby Farine Wilson.
Dub was a farmer, dairyman, rancher, horn player in a dance band,
Radioman 1st Class on the USS Langley in WWII, industrial equipment
salesman, real estate broker/investor, husband, father, grandfather, and
friend.
Dub was always concerned with the needs of others, and was loved by all.
He is survived by his sons Cody, of Dallas, Mark and wife Kathy of Lake
Dallas, and grandson Forrest of Portland OR.
Services are planned for Wed. at 1p. at Metrocrest Hilltop Memorial,
Carrollton TX. |
