Baccalaureate Program Features Rev. C. N. Glover

Community Choir, Led By John Boehmer, Furnished Music

Rev. Conrod N. Glover, president of American Baptist association of Sheridan, Arkansas, was guest baccalaureate speaker for the graduating class Sunday morning, when he chose his text from Genesis 6:6 - "Abraham believed God and it was counted  to him for righteousness."

He made the one main emphatic point that "in one's walk through life that thing of primary importance is that a decision be made FOR God."

He counseled on other major decisions, the choice of a life's work and the choice of a life's partner.

Rev. Glover also congratulated Supt. Roach and the board on the Carrollton school system, saying the school was certainly an efficient one, as the product evidenced fine training.

The community choir, made up of sixty singers, representing Hebron, Addison, Walnut Hill, Coppell, Farmers Branch, Hackberry, Letot and Carrollton, sang for the occasion. They were directed by John Boehmer, pastor of the First Christian church here, in two special numbers, "Onward Christian Soldiers," and "Stand Up For Jesus." Mrs. T. G. Kelley accompanied the choir.

Mrs. Kelley also played the prelude.
