OBITUARY BLANTON
JIMMY DONALD, "J.D." 84, passed away on November 16, 1997 in Lewisville, TX. J.
D. was born and reared in Young County, Newcastle, TX, and came to the Dallas
area in 1940's. J. D. was a warehouse manager for 40 years with lumber companys
in the Texas and Alabama areas. He was an active member in the Civitan Club for
a number of years in the Alabama area. He also served as a Deacon for the First
Baptist Church of Farmers Branch for 44 years. J. D. is survived by
children and spouses: L. E. & Glenda McDonald,
Jeanette &
Raymond Bassinger,
Mary Sue & Johnny Rogers, Dorothy &
Jack Godfrey,
La Donna & Bob Warnack, &
Glenda & Leon Tubbs; 18 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren, 4 great great
grandchildren. J. D. Blanton was preceded in death by his wife
Pearl Blanton,
parents Jacob Hamby & Stella Norton Blanton, grandchildren: Karl Eric McDonald, Sannel Donald Sparks; great grandchildren Blue Tale Clark & Kenny Dale Gravley.
Services will be held Wednesday November 19, 1997 11:00 A.M. at the First
Baptist Church of Farmers Branch. Officiating Rev. W. B. Carraway. Interment to
follow at Keenan Cemetery in
Farmers Branch.
