CATHERINE SANFORD died on March 6, 2005 at Lewisville Estates in Lewisville, TX. The last of five children, Catherine was born in Carrollton, TX on July 14, 1918 to Joseph Ira Sanford and Jenny May Neely Sanford both from Tennessee. She graduated from Carrollton High School in 1935, and married George Garnett Center on October 1, 1938. During WWII, she and her husband moved to San Diego, CA to work for the aircraft defense plant. When the war ended, the two moved back to Carrollton to establish the Carrollton Auto Supply in downtown Carrollton. They operated the business until 1993. Catherine was a member of the First Methodist Church of Carrollton for 50 years. She was on of the first 50 members of the Brookhaven County Club in Farmers Branch, TX. Catherine is preceded in death by her husband Garnett Center. She is survived by her niece Doris Ruth Smith Jones and Doris's children and grandchildren; Randall Sanford Jones, Bryan Scott Jones, Jordon Jones, Randall Brent Jones, Bryce Randall Jones, Lainey Rebecca Jones, Lauren Ruth Jones Gordon, Lindsey Ruth Goreon, Kayla Jane Gordon, Carol Ruth Jones Shaffer, Kristy Ruth Shaffer Dixon, Jacob Shaffer, Doc Jones, G.W. "Sandy" Sanford, Jr., Sid Sanford, Jean Bute, and "Bubby" Carloy. Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 7, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. in Hilltop Memorial Park, Carrollton, TX. Pallbarers include: Randall Jones, Scott Jones, Brent Jones, Doc Jones, Jacob Shaffer, G.W. "Sandy" Sanford, Jr., Sid Sanford, & "Bubby" Carloy.
