OBITUARY
BONNIE
ANN CREWS EVITTS
Born August 12, 1923 in Lometa, Texas to Sterling Charles and Annie
Laura Ivey Crews, died Tuesday, October 24, 2006 after a lengthy
illness. Married on November 13, 1942 to Howard Lee Evitts. They were
married 62 years before his death in 2005. While her husband served in
the Army during WWII, Mrs. Evitts worked as a secretary in an aircraft
factory. Upon his return, Mrs. Evitts was a homemaker while her husband
was a Battalion Chief with the Dallas Fire Department. She spent much of
her time through the years serving as a sunday school teacher and was
later instrumental in starting the church nursery at First Baptist
Church of Carrollton in its present location in North Carrollton. She
was a faithful Christian and served the Lord well in her life. She is
preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Lowell and Jerry Crews,
and her husband. She is survived by her four children and their spouses:
Sharon Lemming of Carrollton, Mike and Judy Evitts of Irving, David and
Laura Evitts of Carrollton, and Jeff and Laura Griggs of Sulphur
Springs; six grandchildren: Steve and wife Sheri Lemming of Saginaw,
Erin and Carlie Evitts of Carrollton, Jordan and Justin Griggs of
Sulphur Springs, and Kelley Evitts of Sugar Land; three great
grandchildren: Madison and Ryan Lemming of Saginaw and Jace Griggs of
Sulphur Springs; and one nephew: Jerry Crews of Tomball. Visitation will
be Thursday October 26, 2006 6-8 PM. A Funeral Service will be Friday
2PM at Rhoton Funeral Home Chapel. Interment at
Hilltop Memorial Park. |
