OBITUARY

Former Teacher, Mrs. Field, Dies; Funeral Monday

FARMERS BRANCH - Mrs. Vivian Field of 3132 Spur Trail, wife of the late County Commissioner, Tom Field, died here Friday.
She was a former teacher in the Grand Prairie and Farmers Branch schools, Vivian Field Junior High School, opened in Farmers Branch in 1961 on land donated by her, was named in her honor.
Mrs. Field attended public schools in Denison and was graduated from college in Edmond, Okla. A longtime member of the Eastern Star, she served as Worth Matron of Chapter 77 in Denison.
She was a member of Bluff View Garden Club, the Carrollton Study Club and the Webb Chapel Methodist Church.
She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Sally Mae Wible of Dallas.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Webb Chapel Methodist Church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dennison.

OBITUARY

SERVICES HELD FOR MRS. TOM (VIVIAN) FIELD

Funeral services for Mrs. Vivian Field of 3132 Spur Trail, Farmers Branch, wife of the late county commissioner Tom Field, were held Monday.

Mrs. Field, a former teacher in the Grand Prairie and Farmers Branch schools, died Friday following a brief illness.

She attended public school in Denison and w as graduated from college in Edmond Okla.

She donated land to the public schools in the Carrollton-Farmers Branch School District and in 1961 the Vivian Field Junior High School was opened.

She was a longtime member of the Eastern Star and was former worthy matron of Chapter 77 in Denison. She also was a member of the Bluff View Garden Club and the Carrollton Study Club.

Mrs. Field is survived by her sister, Mrs. Sally Mae Wible of Dallas.

Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, Webb Chapel Methodist Church. Grave side services were at 4:30 p.m. Fairview Cemetery, Denison, Texas, Rev. Fred Mooring officiating.

Pallbearers: Addison Bradford, Ollie Bullock, Knowles Cornwell, Newman Smith, Lawson Lewis, Roy Priest, Oran Good, and Harry Hanson.

Honorary pallbearers: Fred Marsh, Gipson Taylor, Dib Dennis, Ben Thomison, Roy Rasberry, Nolan Aly, Harry Wagner, Dan F. Brown, Philip Miller, Frank Weble and Wray Wable.
