OBITUARY SERVICES HELD FOR MRS. TOM (VIVIAN) FIELD
Funeral services for Mrs. Vivian Field of 3132 Spur Trail, Farmers Branch, wife
of the late county commissioner Tom Field, were held Monday. Mrs.
Field, a former teacher in the Grand Prairie and Farmers Branch schools, died
Friday following a brief illness. She attended public school in Denison
and w as graduated from college in Edmond Okla. She donated land to the
public schools in the Carrollton-Farmers Branch School District and in 1961 the
Vivian Field Junior High School
was opened. She was a longtime member of the Eastern Star and was
former worthy matron of Chapter 77 in Denison. She also was a member of the
Bluff View Garden Club and the Carrollton Study Club. Mrs. Field is
survived by her sister, Mrs. Sally Mae Wible of Dallas. Services were
held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, Webb Chapel Methodist Church. Grave side services were
at 4:30 p.m. Fairview Cemetery, Denison, Texas, Rev. Fred Mooring officiating.
