OBITUARY JOHN A. GOOD BURIED AT FARMERS BRANCH
John A. Good, of Farmers Branch, and well known throughout all this
section, died Monday. The funeral services were held at the Farmers Branch
Baptist church Tuesday, under the direction of Rev. W. R. Covington and Rev. W.
H. Winn, of Dallas. The floral offerings were profuse, coming from out of town
as well as from local friends.
Mr. Good was 60 years of age. He had been a deacon in the Baptist church
at Farmers Branch for many years and was active in civil moves for betterment of
his community at all times. The deceased leaves two daughters:
Mrs. Ott Roe and
Mrs. Clyde Reeves, and five sons: Byron Good, who has an Aviator business at
Love Field. Chester A. Good, Truett Good, Oran Good, and
John Roland Good. In
addition to three married sisters, there are four surviving brothers, Geo.
Good, Will Good, and Jim Good, the twin brother of the deceased, and
F. M. Good,
of Carrollton.
Friends from all directions composed one of the largest groups that have
assembled for such an occasion for some time. On account of washouts some coming
on trains did not arrive in time. Not only Farmers Farmers Branch but all this
section of the county has lost a good citizen.
