OBITUARY

LEWIS
JAMES CASEY, 61, passed away at his residence on Saturday, June 22, 1996 following a long illness. Mr. Lewis was graduated from Baylor University in 1956. He taught school in the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District for 30 years. He is survived by his mother, Mattie Lewis of Little Elm; sisters, Peggy Zachary of Carrollton, Jo Bell of Farmers Branch, Linda Hyde of Ft. Myers Florida; brother Tracy Bret Lewis of Little Elm, and longtime friend, Donald Jarmon of Farmers Branch. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 27, 1996, 7:00 P.M. at RHOTON CHAPEL. Graveside services will not be held. Guests are invited to visit with the family following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family request that you donate to the charity of your choice.

OBITUARY

Services for James Lewis, a retired teacher for the

Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District, will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Rhoton Funeral Home in Carrollton.

Mr. Lewis, 61, died Saturday at his home in Farmers Branch of kidney failure.

He taught English and history for over 30 years at Vivian Field Junior High. He retired in 1990.

Mr. Lewis loved teaching because he enjoyed being with people, said his sister, Jo Bell of Farmers Branch.

"The kids were just a joy to be around," Ms. Bell said.

He is also survived by his mother, Mattie Lewis of Little Elm; two other sisters, Peggy Zachary of Carrollton and Linda Hyde of Fort Myers, Fla.; a brother, Tracy Lewis of Little Elm; and longtime friend Donald Jarmon of Farmers Branch
