OBITUARY

MARCOM, SR.
ROY L. Born May 6, 1920 to B. A. and Rebecca Marcom in Farmers Branch, Texas and died September 15, 2001.

Roy graduated from Crozier Tech High School in 1938. He served in the U. S. Airforce during WWII in Africa and Italy. He owned and operated a Service Station and Grocery for many years and later established and operated the M&M Mowing Service Co.

He was preceded in death by his wife Ruby Curtis Marcom. Survivors are two sons, Roy L. Marcom, Jr. and wife Beverly; Greg Marcom and wife Marlina; two brothers, James W. Marcom and Jay Frank Marcom and wife Rose. He has five grandchildren - Bryan and wife Angelia, Brad and wife Polly, Brandon and wife Wendy, Kevin and Amy Marcom. Five great-grandchildren, Kami, Keith, Madison, Shelby and Jarret. He is also survived by a special friend, Adelle McLester and many others.

Roy has been a member of the First Baptist Church of Farmers Branch since 1934 - sixty seven years.

He was a 32 degree Mason and belonged to the Shriners. A visitation will be held at the First Baptist Church of Farmers Branch on Monday, Sept. 17, 2001 at 10 AM, with burial to follow at Keenan Cemetery.
