OBITUARY

Final Rites Slated for Mrs. McCoy

CARROLLTON, Texas - Funeral services for Mrs. Ellar Patterson McCoy, 77, of Route 1, Carrollton, a resident of Dallas County for 50 years, were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Rhoton Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Earl Johnston officiating. Burial was in Hilltop Memorial Park.

Mrs. McCoy died Friday at a convalescent home in Hurst after a long illness.

She was the widow of Will McCoy, farmer, stockman and dairyman in Dallas County from 1890 until his death in 1953.

The couple was married in Collin County. Mrs. McCoy was a member of the First Christian Church of Carrollton.

Survivors are two sons, Ted McCoy and J. W. McCoy of Carrollton; three sisters, Miss Lennie Patterson of Carrollton and Mrs. Mollie Sullens and Mrs. Birdie Thomas of Colleyville; a brother, Bob Patterson of Carrollton; two granddaughters and three great-grandsons.

Pallbearers were William K. Russell, Clifford Haynes, Robert Perry, Roy Posey, Herman McInnish and C. E. Horton.
