OBITUARY
Mrs. Sarah Alice Padgett, Age 81, Dies This Week
Here From Collin Co., Had Lived Here 30 years.; Member Meth.
Church
Mrs. Sarah Alice Padgett died Monday morning at 8:00 at her home here in
Carrollton. She had made her home here since about 1900 and was known and love
by young and old.
She moved here from Collin county with her husband,
J. S. Padgett, who preceded her in death in
1941. She was member of the Methodist church since childhood and was very active
in church work as long as her health and age permitted. In her declining years
her interest in the church continued and she visited her neighbors and the sick
frequently.
At the time of her death, she was 81 years of age.
She is survived by one son, Homer E. Padgett
of Carrollton, three sisters, Mrs. George Avery, Ibck Texas; Mrs. Laura Thomas,
McKinney, and Mrs. Donna Keaton, Keller; four grandchildren and four great
grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Carrollton Methodist church at 2 PM Tuesday,
Rev. J. W. Slagle, former pastor here, officiating, assisted by Rev. Felix
Kindel pastor.
Burial was made in the Perry cemetery.
