OBITUARY WHITESBORO PAPER
Landon Earl "Jug" Stuart
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 2, 2005
at First Baptist Church in Roby, Texas for Landon Earl "Jug" Stuart,
69-year-old Whitesboro resident. Interment will be in Roby Cemetery
under the direction of Huff Funeral Home in Whitesboro.
He died Tuesday, August 30, 2005 in RHD Memorial Hospital in Farmers
Branch, Texas.
The son of Florene Carter Stuart and the late Coy Stuart, he was
born September 11, 1935 in Roby. He married Melba Witt on December
22, 1976 in Dallas. A member of the Baptist Church, he was self
employed as an electrical contractor.
Survivors are his wife, Melba Stuart of Whitesboro; 2 sons, Zac
Stuart of Keller, Texas, and Barry Stuart of Carrollton, Texas;
step-son, Cliffort Witt of Carrollton; 1 daughter, Becky Waren of
Burnett, Texas; mother, Florene Stuart of Roby; 3 brothers,
James
Stuart of Lubbock, Texas, Tommy Stuart of Abilene, Texas and
Don Stuart of Jacksboro, Texas; 13 grandchildren; and numerous
nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2005 at
Huff Funeral Home.

Landon Earl "Jug" Stuart
WHITESBORO - Landon Earl "Jug" Stuart, 69, died Tuesday August 30,
2005 in a Dallas hospital. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday
September 2, 2005 at the First Baptist Church in Roby with Brother
Jerry Vincent officiating. Burial will take place in Roby Cemetery
directed by Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home in Rotan.
Born September 11, 1935 in Roby, Texas Jug was a son to the late Coy
Stuart and Florene (Carter) Stuart. Jug married Melba Witt on
December 22, 1976 in Dallas, Texas. He was a self-employed
electrician in Carrollton until he retired. He began ranching and
especially enjoyed rodeos and Professional Bull Riding. Also in his
spare time Jug liked to fish. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father and one son,
Bryan Stuart.
Survivors include his wife Melba Stuart of Whitesboro; mother
Florene Stuart of Roby; two sons, Barry Stuart of Carrollton and Zac
Stuart of Keller; one stepson,
Clifford Witt of Carrollton; one daughter, Becky Waren of Burnett;
three brothers, James Stuart of Lubbock, Tommie Jack Stuart of
Abilene and Don Stuart of Jacksboro; thirteen grandchildren;
numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday September 1, 2005 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at
Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home.
