OBITUARY

IN MEMORY OF MRS. E. W. BRAKE

We were made sad to learn in the early hours Sunday morning of the passing of Mrs. E. W. Brake, following a brief illness.
Mrs. Brake was 77 years of age was born and spent her entire life near Carrollton
Services were conducted by the Rev. Henry Kinkeade at the First Baptist Church at 2:30 p.m. Monday. Burial in charge of Rhoton Funeral Home was in Perry Cemetery.
She leaves a husband and 7 children. They are W. W. Brake of Dallas, Vern Brake of Carrollton, Nix Brake of Denton, Mrs. Juanita Whitlock of Carrollton, Mrs. Lois Jones of Grapevine, Mrs. Coleen Allen of Fort Worth and Mrs. Estelle Warner of Chester Pa.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren survive.
Hers was a beautiful life. She will be remembered for her devotion to God, her home and family. Her friends will weep for her as those that wept for the immortal Dorcas, when they think of her helping hands, cheerful works and radiant smile. She will always be remembered by the pupils and teacher of her Sunday School class. Every Sunday found her prompt and helpful.
She will ever be remembered by her husband and children as a godly mother who sought to bring them up in the fear and admonition of the Lord. She was a praying mother. To all who knew her, her life will be an inspiration.
Beautiful flowers in their purity and fragrance, so typical of her life were placed around her. There we left her, til that glad morning when the trump of God shall sound and they that have fallen asleep shall hear and arise, we shall see her again. Not with a frail and sick body, but in the glorified state. A happy day a glad reunion!
"And God shall wife away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be n o more death, neither sorrow nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."
Her Cousin, Mrs. Earl Skiles.
