He was a retired Dallas Fireman for City of Dallas Fireman for City of Dallas; veteran of U.S. Navy and member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. McKinney. Survived by daughters, D'Anna Bates, Melissa, Shellie Cervenka, Farmersville, Kellie Yesconis, Plano; grandchildren, Cody and Mackenzie Bates, Melissa; sisters, Emily Jane McCurley, Bonham, Mary Cockrell, Coppell, Adell Kirkland, Carrollton, Polly Dobecka, Vickie Dobecka both of Coppell, Georgia Simek, Haltom City and brother, Johnny Cervenka, Carrollton. Services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 9, 1997 in ST MICHAEL'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, McKinney and graveside service 2:00 P.M. Wednesday in St. Joseph Cemetery in Ennis with Father Carl Vogel officiating. Rosary will be 7:00 PM Tuesday in Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel
