EMILY J. McCURLEY

McCURLEY, EMILY J., Age 86 of Bonham, TX, passed away November 1, 2007. She was born May 3, 1921, in Ennis, TX, to John F. and Frances (Holy) Cervenka. Mrs. McCurley proudly served her country as a Navy nurse during WWII. Blessed with a positive, outgoing attitude, she was filled with gratitude for her life and everything in it. Mrs. McCurley is survived by her sisters: Mary Dobecka, Adell Kirkland, Polly Dobecka, Vickie Dobecka, and Georgia Simek; son: Freddie McCurley and wife Kay; grandchildren: David and Doug McCurley all of Rockwall, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers: Joe, Melvin, Johnny and George Cervenka. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm, Tuesday, November 6, 2007, at St. John The Apostle Catholic Church in Terrell, TX, with Rev. Michael D. Forge officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday evening at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00pm, with a Rosary at 7:00pm.
