OBITUARY
 
Tribute & Message From The Family
Mary Frances Dobecka Cockrell, 91, passed away on February 05, 2014 in her Coppell home. She was born on August 02, 1922 in Ellis County, Texas to John and Frances (Holy) Cervenka. Mary had been a resident of Coppell since the early 1960's, she was a founding member of Mary Immaculate Catholic Church of Farmers Branch , a prior member of St. Ann's Catholic Church and a present member of St. Joseph's Retirement Village Family Chapel. She was a 1940 graduate of Ennis High School, was a Mary Kay Consultant for many years, administrative assistant for Binks Manufacturing Company for 25 years and volunteered at the Catholic Charities – Brady Center. Mary loved to travel, swimming at the YMCA, and water coloring. She was an avid Dallas Mavericks fan especially her favorite player Dirk Nowitzki.
Mary was preceded in death by her husbands, Cecil J. Dobecka, Sr and Joe Cockrell; parents; sisters; Emily McCurley and Polly Dobecka; brothers, Johnny, Joe, George and Melvin Cervenka.
She is survived by her children; Cecil Dobecka, Jr. of Coppell, Shirley Caesar and husband, David of Justin, Texas; Pamela Hamm and husband, Troy of Denton, Texas; Paula Monk and husband, Garry of Denton; four grandsons, Jason Hamm and wife, Reina; Bryan Hamm and wife, Katie all of Lantana, Texas; Justin Crawford and wife, Patchin of Houston, Texas; and Joshua Crawford and wife, Alexandra of Ft. Irwin, California; five great grandchildren, Reagan Hamm, Declan Hamm, Kate Crawford, James Crawford and, Cara Crawford; three sisters, Adell Kirkland of Royce City, Texas; Vickie Dobecka of Coppell; Georgia Simek of Haltom City, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday evening from 6PM-8PM at Restland Coppell Chapel.
Saturday, February 08, 2014 visitation will be from 10AM-11AM at St. Joseph's Retirement Village Family Chapel with Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM.
Interment will be at Calvary Hill Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas at 3PM .
