OBITUARY

Billy Wayne Giles

Billy Wayne Giles, 93 years old, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2022, in Fort Worth, Texas.
He was born to Homer Adolphus Giles, Sr., and Lyda Pearl Martin Giles on October 16, 1928, in Wise County, Texas, halfway between Bridgeport and Decatur. Bill was very proud to be born in a family of nine boys who remained close throughout their lives. Bill, or B.W. as he was sometimes called, worked as a homebuilder and developer in the northeast Tarrant County area. He loved to go deer hunting on several Texas and Colorado leases and enjoyed good times with family and friends. One of his favorite places to be was sitting in a deer blind waiting for a nice Trophy buck.

Bill is survived by his wife Janis "Jan" Mae Daly Giles of nearly 34 years, his daughter Cathy Lynn Giles Bayless, his son Robert Glen Giles, his grandson Cyle Bayless, his granddaughter Crystal Giles Matlock, and several great and great-great grandchildren. Bill is survived by four brothers and their families, Homer A. Giles, Jr., Ramon Giles, Walter Gene Giles and Gary Giles. He is also survived by three stepchildren J.C. Kepley, Karen Kepley Martinez, and Diana Kepley Brister plus three more grandchildren of the heart Jamie Moore (who loved hunting with his granddaddy), Jarron Black, and Alana Kepley (he was her favorite babysitter). He was also part of this wife Jan's extended family, especially her brother Lee Daly who hunted with him for several years. He was preceded in death by four brothers H.L. Giles, Douglas E. Giles, Bobby Giles, and Jackie Paul Giles.
