OBITUARY

Joe Reeder Funeral Set For Sunday

Funeral services for Joe Harris Reeder, 87, who had lived in Dallas County 66 years, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Field City Baptist Church.
The Rev. Bill Stinson will officiate and burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Reeder died Friday at his home, 11349 Reeder Road. He had lived in the house at that address for 42 years and Reeder Road was named for his family.
He was born in Tennessee and moved to Texas as a young man of 21, living first in the Letot community. He was a farmer for almost 20 years, but went to work for the Frisco Railroad 47 years ago. He retired when he was 70.
Reeder was a past master and a life member of James A. Smith Masonic Lodge at Farmers Branch and was a member of the Farmers Branch Odd Fellow Lodge.
He is survived by his wife; three sons, Harris Reeder, Earl Reeder and Thomas Reeder, all of Dallas; five daughters, Mrs. Addie Reynolds of Fort Worth and Mrs. Myrtle Carroll, Mrs. Mary Good, Mrs. Susie Crumley and Mrs. Georgia Davis, all of Dallas; three sisters, Mrs. Ida Willhite of Weatherford, Mrs. Lera Cox of Dallas and Mrs. Rosa McCollum of Moran; 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
